Has life been difficult for you? Do you wonder what God is doing in your life? This clip sends a very powerful message to those who are in seasons of darkness. God is faithful! Philippians 1:6 says “He who has begun a good work in you will complete it…”. So watch this video and be encouraged!
Learn To Pray Effectively
In recent weeks the Lord has been ministering to me through Luke 11. In it, the disciples say to Jesus “Lord, teach us to pray”. From there Jesus begins to teach them some very profound things concerning prayer. Life changing actually (see Luke 11:13). Recently, I came across a book by Andrew Murray entitled “Lord, Teach Us To Pray”. Since I was reading this passage in Luke I decided to check out the book. For those of you
that don’t know
The Prayer Predicament
Neglect of Prayer
“The greatest tragedy of life is not unanswered prayer, but unoffered prayer.” – F.B. Meyer
This quote strikes a chord with me. I find that to “pray without ceasing” is not always easy to do. I regularly find myself getting distracted when it comes to prayer. Yet, the reality is that I must pray if I’m going to have any measure of victory in my life. Just the other day
Satan’s Power Over You
Today, I read some very encouraging insights concerning Romans 16:20. I read them in Pastor Rick Renner’s book titled “Sparkling Gems from the Greek”. Here is some of what Pastor Rick said…
“The glorious truth is that Jesus already completely destroyed Satan’s power over you through His death and resurrection. The devil was utterly smashed, crushed, and bruised when Jesus was victoriously raised from the dead. Your God-given mission now is
Assurance of God’s Love
“Christian, take this for your comfort, that there is no change in Jesus Christ’s love to those who rest in him. Yesterday you were on Tabor’s top, and you said, He loves me: to-day you are in the valley of humiliation, but he loves you still the same.” ~ Charles Spurgeon
I love this quote. It’s so easy to know God loves us when everything is going right. But what about when things are going wrong? It’s in times like these that we may not “feel” loved. It’s in times like these that we are tempted to doubt His love. But be encouraged by this quote, in fact, rejoice in it! Because it reminds us that, no matter how we feel, and no matter how good or bad things are going, God loves us immensely! God loves YOU immensely! So take this quote to heart and be assured of God’s great love for you in Christ.
Our Need of the Gospel
Pastor Tullian Tchividjian on Twitter:
The Gospel is every bit as important for growing as a Christian as it is for becoming a Christian in the first place.
I couldn’t agree more!
You see, it is the gospel of God’s grace in Christ that saves us from the penalty of sin when we are lost. And it is also the gospel of God’s grace in Christ that saves us from the power of sin once we are saved.
Are You Discouraged?
Hebrews 10:19-25:
19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider

The Call to Humility:
In 1 Peter 5(b)-6 it says
“Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “ God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,”
The Importance of Humility
Humility! What comes to mind when you read that word? This word has been coming up a lot in my life lately. Initially, it doesn’t seem like a good word.
It’s one of those character traits that we all know that we need, but that we don’t want to do what is necessary to attain it. Mainly, humbling ourselves consistently. We know the fruit of humility is positive in our lives but it’s the process of being made humble that scares most of us. My question is… why?
